Our whole team and our families
The Mogollon Rim in the distance
Back to Basics is a local family owned health food and treasure store located in the heart of Arizona. Our little town of Payson sits in the largest stand of ponderosa pine in the world, nestled in the forested mountains below the Mogollon Rim, an escarpment that runs across the middle of Arizona from east to west, rising to an elevation between 7000 and 8000 feet. We call this area Rim Country. Our small mountain town of Payson is about 5000 ft. elevation.
At our little country store we carry organic, vegan, diabetic friendly, hard to find foods. If we don’t have it in stock we are more than happy to special order it.
We carry local Honey, Eggs, Grassfed Meat, Bulk Herbs, Spices, Teas, Vitamins, Nutritional Supplements as well as Personal Care and Home Products.

Meet the Families
From Christina and Brandon (owners):
Before purchasing Back To Basics our family was involved in many community organizations. We were fundraising through the Moose Lodge in Star Valley and ran fundraisers for Neveah the heart baby, Deb ***** breast cancer, a local firefighter from the Hellsgate Fire Dept. and more. Christina was also involved at the local elementary school in various ways.
With the joy of having the wonderful children of our own we became foster parents for a year to 3 additional amazing siblings. In 2014 we adopted the youngest child, Angela. We continue to be involved in the community by donating to fundraisers and 501c3 organizations.
Back to Basics has been a unique bright spot in Payson for many years. We were friends with Steven and Emily Cole, the previous owners of Back to Basics. When they decided to move on in their lives we gathered family and friends around us as we embarked on our new adventure. Brandon had recently had back surgery and these products have greatly helped in diminishing the pain. Christiana and others of our family and team have found astounding results from natural products for treating their health issues as well and can attest to the natural goodness and effectiveness of the many products we carry. We are excited to continue to add new products as they become available.
